These organizations are transforming the way businesses approach hiring, employee engagement and DEI initiatives. Growth and performance data also informs the nominees across a period of the last 12 months. From fostering transparent conversations to leveraging data-driven solutions, these companies are setting new standards and shaping the future of work.

Below are four of the most innovative talent acquisition technology companies in the hiring, as recognized by Fast Company in 2024.

Congrats to the honorees!

Glassdoor

Glassdoor has evolved from an anonymous employer review platform into a leader in talent acquisition technology. In 2023, they introduced “bowls” — communities based on companies, industries, interests and demographics. These virtual spaces allow workers to engage in transparent conversations, seek advice and network with peers.

The platform empowers employees to make informed career decisions. In a “job seeker’s market” throughout 2023, Glassdoor has set a new standard for workplace transparency and community-building. The company’s approach has resonated with users, leading to significant growth in web traffic and community membership.

According to FastCompany

The company’s U.S. web users grew nearly 20% within about a month of launching its new community features, and it has hosted more than 40 million conversations in over 40,000 communities. Glassdoor also grew from 3.9 million community members in January 2023 to 19 million community members in January 2024, and found that community users were 50 times more active and engaged compared to traditional Glassdoor users.

Millions of conversations are taking place across tens of thousands of communities. This proves the strong demand for authentic, user-driven content in talent acquisition. As the company evolves, it prioritizes the needs of modern job seekers and employees.

UKG

UKG is revolutionizing the world of HR, payroll and workforce management. In 2023, the company launched UKG One View, a game-changer for payroll managers. This tool simplifies multinational employee data access, providing a unified view across locations and payroll providers.

The UKG Great Place to Work Hub is another standout innovation. It combines benchmarks, surveys and human capital management data to help clients meet DEI goals effectively. UKG also developed a powerful workforce planning tool using AI and its extensive dataset. This innovation enables businesses to forecast staffing needs and make informed hiring decisions.

With a global presence and a consistently growing revenue stream, UKG’s impact is undeniable. The company serves 80,000 customers across 150 countries and achieved a significant milestone in 2023, surpassing $1 billion in quarterly revenue consistently. UKG expects to exceed $5 billion in annual revenue by 2025, cementing its position as a leader in the HR industry.

EDGE Certified Foundation

EDGE Certified Foundation, established in 2009, is making waves in the DEI space. They created a standardized approach to assess DEI in the workplace, and offer educational and training certifications for workplaces. In 2023, over 250 companies from 57 countries earned EDGE Certification.

EDGE grew its customer base and formed key partnerships last year. They provided real DEI solutions and helped create the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices. EDGE aligned its certification with new EU reporting rules and created a Pay Equity Playbook.

To get certified, organizations must conduct a pay equity analysis. EDGE partnered with PayAnalytics to streamline this process.

EDGE’s impact is clear. They are dedicated to creating inclusive workplaces and driving positive change.

Trusaic

Trusaic is transforming salary equity with its innovative Salary Range Finder. Launched in January 2023, the tool analyzes employee data against market rates and internal pay from a large global database. This helps with compensation leveling across specific market categories and geographies.

It calculates appropriate salary ranges, helping companies avoid pay discrimination and costly remediation. The tool also enhances compliance with pay transparency laws.

Partnerships with Workday and ADP have been successful, with a 1,000% year-over-year revenue increase. Trusaic’s Salary Range Finder is leading the charge in fair compensation practices.

The tool sets a new industry standard, emphasizing data-driven solutions for a just workplace. Trusaic’s commitment to tackling pay inequity at the source is a game-changer, shaping the future of equitable pay.
